Group Life Insurance

BTHR BeneTemps provides Group Life/AD&D Insurance to all eligible employees through Standard Insurance Company. The Group Life/AD&D Insurance Plan includes a $25,000 Life/AD&D benefit and guarantees coverage for eligible employees — no enrollment form or medical underwriting process is required. BTHR BeneTemps pays 100% of the cost of the life insurance coverage.


Full-time, eligible employees may enroll on the first day following their 90-day employment anniversary (this is the “Initial Eligibility Period”). Full-time, eligible employees are those who maintain a minimum of 390 hours during any consecutive 90-day period, AND who are paid directly by BTHR BeneTemps (not People 2.0). Employees will be notified by BTHR BeneTemps upon reaching eligibility for the Plan.

Summary Of Benefits

The Plan provides eligible employees of BTHR BeneTemps with life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment insurance and other related benefits in the flat amount of $25,000. These benefits are provided under a group insurance contract entered into between BTHR BeneTemps and Standard Insurance Company.

Termination of Coverage

Coverage will end on the day after employee’s assignment ends, regardless of the reason. For example, if an assignment ends on September 15, coverage will end on September 16.

Terminating employees may exercise the Right to Convert option of the policy. This allows the policy to be converted to an individual life insurance policy without submitting any evidence of insurability if you apply within 31 days of your group coverage termination.  If interested, please request the Conversion Application from BTHR BeneTemps.

Rehire Eligibility

Employees who return to a full-time assignment (over 30 hrs/week) for BTHR BeneTemps within 6 months of their last completed assignment may rejoin the Group Life Insurance Plan immediately upon their return to work.

Employees who have a break in service from BTHR BeneTemps longer than 6 months or do not return as a full-time employee must satisfy a new 90-day eligibility waiting period and work 390 hours to be eligible for re-enrollment.

Designating A Beneficiary

Each participating employee must designate a beneficiary for their life insurance policy. A Beneficiary Form will be provided upon enrollment into the Plan. Beneficiaries may be changed at any time by submitting a new Beneficiary Form to BTHR BeneTemps.
